Help shape the GRANSHAN Bloom Award jury

The GRANSHAN Bloom Award brings together communication design experts with a deep understanding of the scripts and cultural contexts represented in the submitted work. Apply to join the jury or nominate someone whose expertise would complement it.

Most jury places are already filled, although some members have not yet been publicly announced. Only a few places remain for the current edition. With the candidate’s permission, profiles may also be considered for future editions.

Good to know

The form is an expression of interest or a nomination – not yet a binding commitment to the jury.

The GRANSHAN Bloom Award is dedicated to communication design in the world’s scripts beyond Latin, and its specialist juries are the heart of the award. Each of the eight Script Groups is judged by people who understand its linguistic, typographic and cultural context – script expertise combined with professional knowledge of the relevant design disciplines.

We are looking for professionals with:

  • Experience in one or more areas of communication design covered by the award.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of the scripts or cultural contexts represented in the current edition.
  • The ability to assess work thoughtfully and independently.
  • Availability throughout the anticipated evaluation period (December 2026 to April 2027).
  • The willingness to disclose potential conflicts of interest.

Applications and nominations are reviewed based on professional expertise, current jury needs and balanced representation across the Script Groups and media categories. Submitting an application or nomination does not guarantee selection.

All jury work takes place online, with no travel required. The evaluation period is expected to run from December 2026 to April 2027 and includes:

  • Individual scoring on the Jury Platform.
  • Moderated Script Group discussions.
  • An independent final vote.

Jurors are expected to disclose potential conflicts of interest and must not evaluate entries to which they are connected. Jury members may submit their own work, which is evaluated by the other members of the relevant jury.

Confirmed jury members are publicly presented across GRANSHAN’s channels, with profile details agreed during onboarding. Individual scores and votes remain confidential.

  • Public recognition across the GRANSHAN Bloom Award website and communication channels
  • An official digital jury certificate
  • Acknowledgement in GRANSHAN’s archive, exhibition materials and Conference & Ceremony
