We gathered for an informal gathering of minds to explore design and identity, typographic excellence, and the power of cross-cultural collaboration — a space to meet, exchange, and spark new conversations.

As part of the Bloom Award promotional tour, this meet-up was conducted by the President and Chairwoman of the Bloom Award, Boris Kochan and Veronika Burian, and combined a short two-part talk with plenty of time for informal introductions.

Meetup started with an introduction to the GRANSHAN Bloom Award — a global platform for outstanding communication design across the world’s writing systems. Here, scripts beyond Latin are not a side category, but the starting point. We shared why this matters now, how evaluation happens in the original scripts, and what kind of work we’re looking for.

Then, a brief case study followed: Futura®100, developed by TypeTogether — a Supporting Foundry of GRANSHAN. The project reimagined an iconic typeface as a truly global system, created with script experts and local designers, and offered a practical glimpse into culturally responsible multiscript design
