Golnar Katrahmani (b. 1983 in Iran), she is an Iranian creative director and lecturer who is working and living in Berlin, she was educated at the University of Tehran and the Berlin-Weißensee School of Arts. She runs Studio Golnar Katrahmani in the fields of type design, multilingual editorial design and typography. Since 2018 through her projects "Type & Politics”, she endeavors to detach Arabic and Persian type from their ideological and political negative circumstances, aiming to cultivate an appreciation for the beauty and other aspects of these letters in multi-cultural societies, due to the hope of a peaceful coexistence.

As for this topic she held lectures and typographic workshops at various universities as per following: UDK (University of Arts Berlin), KHB (Academy of Arts Berlin), HAW Hamburg, ABK-Stuttgart (Academy of the visual Arts Stuttgart), Museum of Printing Arts in Leipzig, MK&G Hamburg, MfGZ (Museum for Design in Zürich). and at design conferences as Typoberlin, Type director club, Typographics NewYork.
