Description of the Typeface by the Submitter

Jt Picolo blends the elegance of 19th-century Grotesque typefaces with a contemporary touch. The basic character set was drawn on paper, prioritizing modern letter proportions with a relatively large x-height. The research explored 19th-century high-contrast Grotesque typefaces, mainly from French, Dutch, and German type Foundries. My main motivation was to provide Cyrillic support for Ukrainian users during and after the war. Given my background in a Polish-Ukrainian family, my project must contribute to this cause. Its functionality makes it suitable for various applications, from editorial layouts to digital platforms.
