Manvel Shmavonyan has graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, faculty of Artistic and technical design of printed materials. Worked in the type design department for the Press Committee in Yerevan. Worked as a graphic designer for multiple publishing houses like Hayastan, Luys, Sovetakan Groh and others.
Since 1997 he has been working as a type designer at ParaGraph/ParaType.
Multiple winner of TDC contest, Kyrillitsa, Bukva: raz, Granshan.
TDC Advisory Board member in Non-Latin categories.
